چکیده

Abstract We investigate the distributions of obliquity angle and impact parameters nulling pulsars different duty cycles based on simulation more than 600,000 samples. adopt a purely geometric approach for pulsar visibility, in which visible emission is emitted tangentially to magnetic field line parallel line-of-sight direction. The geometry incorporated with model magnetospheres multiple states, plasma charge density dependent state. assume that an state can only exist between two limiting conditions described by vacuum corotation models, respectively. In this model, pulse corresponds switching zero. event detectable if occurs at source points lie trajectory, whose locus defines locations emission, within open-field region. Our results show all three parameters, such prefer small cycle, tend have positive parameters. find total population our samples around 23%, about 47% possess cycle 0.1 or smaller. former implies there are currently known. predicts number increases as decreases, also occurrence should evolve over time.

Classification and properties of acyclic discrete phase-type distributions based on geometric and shifted geometric distributions

Acyclic phase-type distributions form a versatile model, serving as approximations to many probability distributions in various circumstances. They exhibit special properties and characteristics that usually make their applications attractive. Compared to acyclic continuous phase-type (ACPH) distributions, acyclic discrete phase-type (ADPH) distributions and their subclasses (ADPH family) have ...

Approximate Test for Comparing Parameters of Several Inverse Hypergeometric Distributions

Consider the case of two-stage sampling where (first stage) m bins are selected from a large population of M bins each containing N items, (second stage) inverse subsampling is performed without replacement from each of the m bins, and a binary observation is made on each subsample item (inverse hypergeometric distribution). Denote the two types of items Red and Blue. Assuming N is known but th...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Several Key Parameters of Numerical Simulation of Goaf in Research

By a Computational Fluid Dynamics software named Fluent, the influence that the permeability, gas emission intensity of goaf and turbulent parameters in working face have on the numerical simulation was studied. The results show that: the permeability and gas emission intensity of goaf have great influence on the migration law of gas and goaf air leakage, causing great impact on the gas concent...
